Driver was pulled over for inoperative Headlights, Turn Signals, Not wearing a seat belt. During the DOT inspection, the officer found containers of alcohol which subsequently results in termination under our company policy.
Driver did not inform anyone in our team about the inspection and proceeded to drive even after receiving 2 out of service Violations (393.9(A) and 392.5(a)(3).
Once the inspection report became available online, we reached out to Nicole, and advised her that due to zero tolerance towards the alcohol, withholding crucial information from our team we regret to inform her that she has been terminated and no longer allowed to operate our CMV.
Instead of complying, Nicole proceeded to take our unit for a joy ride, disregarding our requests. We had to involve local authorities to assist in this matter. Nicole has been terminated with absolutely no possibility of returning to work for us.
Unit was found vandalized - conditions inside the truck are not livable. Truck is filled with fleas, used diapers, urine was spilled on the floor, fuel tanks were topped off with water, damage to body panels.
Please, for everything that is still saint in this business - this person cannot continue her career as a CMV operator, DO NOT HIRE, DO NOT GIVE HER ANY CHANCES.
