ABANDONED LOADED TRUCK AND TRAILER. WORST EXPEIRANCE WITH A DRIVER EVER!

The absolute worst experience we have ever encountered in trucking with regards to drivers. He and wife moved into one of our (6) 2019 Pete 579s with a 2018 reefer. After one month the truck didn’t even break even because of countless excuses of cell phone issues, he and wife always sick with something, late to every appointment and the list goes on. He would ghost our dispatch so without the ELD we would never know where he was. We had to call the cops twice to conduct a welfare check on him that’s how bad it got in just one month. The final straw was 2 days after the first welfare check on May 24th. 2022. This driver was in San Antonio and finally our dispatcher was able to book a load after the truck sat for 3 days because of no communication. Driver departs San Antonio May 26th. to Lerado to collect a Dry Van load and then he returned to San Antonio mid day. What happened next was mind boggling….. Mark spent the entire day driving the truck around San Antonio with an unauthorized crack head prostitute passenger in the back confirmed by cab audio from the ELD. He was driving on secondary streets for hours under a load burning fuel going through small neighborhoods. Essentially joy riding some drug dealer meth head in back with wife in front. All wheels on truck have been heavily curbed. We were completely shocked that this was going on in front of our eyes as we watched our truck do this. Multiple stops at truck stops for several hours God knows what he was doing. Multiple U-turns on streets zig zagging through residential areas for no reason at all! Enough was enough this guy was a danger. We called San Antonio police again and directed several police units in on him as we watched the ELD. Once the police made positive ID on our truck they initiated a traffic stop and ultimately had the driver pulled from the truck. We instructed him to remove all belongings under the supervision of the police. This was a nightmare. If you have any doubts we have it all on video STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!

Did a drug test and application, never heard back from him

Reason: quit, no answer, truck abandonment in AZ. Disapears for a week or so and then starts request for EFS check, bank account changes, phone number changes etc. Unreliable

Bought plane ticket, filled out application, bought hotel overnight, abandoned truck in our yard during orientation. Do not give this driver the time of day. Complete waste of time. Theft by deception.

Completely disobeying any warnings or requests, he is in his own world with your truck. If you will complain to him anything - he gets mad, and you will be picking up your truck in Clearwater. Beware!!

Driver purposely got stuck in mud and caused damage to oil pan and over $1,600 in a tow. The oil pan damage cost is still to be determined. He is very ignorant and rude and when he doesn't get his way he will call you out of your name and use profanity. He was only with us for less than a month and caused that much damage. HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!

Do not waste your time on this driver, he shows up to the company being so nice etc but after a couple weeks he starts to act he always needs to go back home without even letting us ahead of time. He went home saying he needs to see doctor but he actually abandoned truck and stole everything from the truck. Refrigerator, mattress, microwave, tablet, fuel card, gps, even truck binder with ppwk for the truck. Driver is not reliable.

very unstable, aggressive and vulnerable driver, he probably has some psychological issues not good for a hiring anymore, also he blame all the companies that he was in charge, he is good and everybody are bad and stupid...... with the first load he got in a accident NEVER HIRE HIM

He is a good driver

Has a heated attitude. It is usually my way, or the highway. If something goes wrong or not what he demanded, you'll be greeted with threats to hold the load hostage. Operating a leased unit, he used wrong oil viscosity twice and demanded to be paid back for it, otherwise he'll pickup a load, and won't deliver, go to DOT and sue the company.

Save your time and energy with this one. Complete waste of time. Sounded promising over the phone. Extremly bad attitude. Can't drive more than 200-250 miles per day. His logs are like a cardiogram, stoping every 20-30 minutes

not communicating; aggressive; liar. Demanding money when not working; Damaged the truck and trailer. Worked for 1 month( 2020).

this guy is a flake, was about to give him a chance and discussed what i had seen on a driver database...and well, he was saying "he will think about it" and hung up, so he is not worth giving any chances, and was rude

Every third day he has headache and he needs to go home, always slow, always late. He abandoned the truck and stole tablet!! Do not hire if you don't want expenses!

Abandoned lease to own program with truck needing more than $10k in repairs after he used it. Always trying to negotiate for more money or loads. Always needing more money and asking us to wait for deductions. Wanted to be an owner operator but did not maintain the truck like one. Record not very clean either. Do not recommend!

He is maniac, first load i had to call police to report stolen truck, drug addict. When you see this name run as fast as you can from it. Never hire this guy!!!!!!!

Absolutely crazy dude. Very nice talking to you but do whatever he wants. But biggest problem he is smoking weed inside the truck. If he will go thru WY he will go to CO and buy weed. Has pee bottles inside truck for drug tests. After we fired him got mad and was calling everybody in the office and death threating us. AVOID AVOID

Bought him flight tickets, he was supposed to come to Chicago. Texted me this morning that he's there and disappeared. Do not waste your time.

Difficult driver, demanded to have passenger even though was told that he cannot, one of those who thinks that he knows best at any given situation, can only do about 350-400 miles per day, and will still be late. Wrecked a brand new Freightliner and trailer, damaged load. Stole ELD, fuel cards and truck documents from the truck, waste of time and money

Absolutely horrible!!! I wish I took heed to the other reviews instead of focusing on needing a driver. He left his previous job on Friday and started w/me on Monday. He claimed he had no money and previous company didn’t pay him (later found out they withheld it). I have him a $200 advance the very first day and every day after that he tried to shake me for money. He doesn’t outright ask for the money...he will always say it’s something wrong with the truck in hopes you will send him cash. When instructed to use advances from fuel card he would get upset because he wants cash. After a week of receiving several advances and not providing receipts ....we stopped giving advances for anything. He was always late to loads and claims it’s because you didn’t give him money to fix the truck “issue”. He picked up a load and didn’t do anything else for the entire day when he still had 10 hrs Drive time remaining on clock....and of course was late dropping off the load the next morning. When asked why he didn’t drive after picking up load...he said because it was raining and the motor in the windshield wiper was too loud....but of course this was a lie because he never called anybody about anything. I scheduled an appointment for him to go to Freightliner to get the entire truck checked out....he wouldn’t answer calls and then would coincidentally be out of the area. After two weeks with this nonsense ....I decided to let him go because it wasn’t worth the headache....and like with all the previous reviews...he threatens not to bring your vehicle back unless you pay him.
