  1. We use Samsara for predictive maintenance. It tracks vehicle health in real-time and notifies us of potential problems before they cause a breakdown.
  2. We have an emergency hotline that drivers can call, and we partner with roadside assistance services that can respond quickly. The driver also logs the breakdown in our system immediately.
  3. We use software to track which parts are still under warranty and document every repair. That way, we can ensure we don’t pay for something that should be covered.
  4. We use mobile services for minor issues and scheduled maintenance to reduce downtime. In-shop repairs are for more complex problems that require specialized tools.
  5. We monitor things like engine hours, fuel usage, and idle time. This data helps us predict when parts will wear out and schedule maintenance proactively.
  6. We inspect tires before and after every long-haul trip. Key checkpoints include tread depth, air pressure, and signs of uneven wear.
  7. We use Fleet Maintenance Pro. It’s great for tracking costs by vehicle and gives us detailed reports on maintenance history.
  8. The biggest issue is increased breakdowns. We deal with this by regularly upgrading key components and closely monitoring wear and tear.
  9. We stagger our maintenance schedules so that only a small portion of the fleet is down at any given time. We also have quick access to parts to avoid delays.
  10. We follow a strict mileage and time-based schedule. Every 10,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first, we bring the trucks in for servicing.
