This driver got hired on Monday Picked up truck on Friday June 16th ,that same day he picked up his very first load with the compan. Got a call the very next morning stating he believe he was carrying illegal items. I told him no we are a legit company and if he would like and it makes you feel comfortable, he can go to a DOT wait station to have them check the load if that makes him feel comfortable. After he was told that the load was a safe load to carry he proceeds to request $800 before he drop the load. I told him we do not pay money before the load is dropped. He decided that he was not going to turn over the truck or turn over the load until I gave him money. He went from asking for $800 to asking for $400 then ask for $250 and for me to get him a plane ticket. He astated that he will release the load in the truck. I paid him the $250 through cash app. That was the only way I could get him to release the load and the truck which cost me more money to find another driver to pick the truck up and a load to make the delivery. He is extorting carriers for money. He is not trustworthy.
