Derrick Brooks - CDL Driver Reviews

Driver was qualified and scheduled to come in September 2023 (today is 11/28/23). Due to unforeseen circumstances he didnt take his drug test. His reason was "We had a family situation involving my nephew. The doctors are supposed to let us know if he needs to be transferred to another hospital today or not. If it's okay I'll touch base once we know that he's going to be okay. Hopefully you guys will still have a truck available at that time." After this he goes MIA. Fast Forward to November, we schedule a second date to do the drug test, yesterday, only this time there is a truck 2h from his house that needs to be recovered. So we schedule a second drug test and overnight a key and fuel card. Today, the day he was supposed to recover the truck he goes MIA again. I called over and over again until someone picked up and said the same number we have been speaking and texting on for months is actually a chinese restaurant and they have no idea who I am referring to when I ask for Derrick. (number ends in 0433). I called fedex and had them return the package before delivery so that crisis was averted but what I want to say is this guy is a total joke, waste of time and space, not reliable, not honest or dependable, not serious about working and i recommend you stay away from him. UPDATE 11/28/23 2:12PM an email from his mother: "Hi I'm Barbara Bruso. My son Derrik Brooks was looking forward to starting work for your company but he and his uncle were involved in a serious accident yesterday evening. Derrik is in intensive care now and we're waiting for an update on his condition. I'm praying that he pulls through. Right now I'm handling his affairs since he's unable to. Sincerely Barbara." How far can people go??? I don't know what to believe anymore.
