Safety folks, please be advised! Mr. Pharr applied for a non-CDL <26,000 box truck position. As a CDS, I do things a little differently for my non-CDL drivers. I run all Clearinghouse query, PSP, and MVRs for all my drivers whether they are in the clearinghouse or not. This driver fraudulently filled out a Tenstreet application. He stipulated that he was a Class C driver, he had no accidents in the last 5 years, no convictions in the last 3. The accident in '21, was not on the application but on his PSP. The FMCSR section which asks about being 'currently disqualified from driving a CMV, License ever been suspended/revoked, and denied a license. All three were answered "no". This is not truthful, so finally after explaining that he will only be considered if he accepts the query. He is "prohibited" to drive a CMV. In '22, he was cited for being on duty, while in operation of a CMV while under the influence, and was in possession of a narcotic drug/amphetamine. This citation wasn't on his application nor was the company he was driving for. Please be diligent with your hiring folks, if we only did the basic background - we don't catch this. If hired, and driving and gets pulled over? That is an automatic OOS, Driver fitness violation, and towing of the truck. Another tidbit of information, when a driver gets downgraded - some states don't not annotate that original license was a Class A, and was reduced/downgraded to Class C for a violation of the FMCSR Drug and Alcohol regulations. This is a huge oversite.

Mr. Mireles from southern TX was vetted and screened ready to roll. We purchased airline tickets from southern TX to Chicago. I welcomed him to Chicago when I found out the plane landed (no response). I waited another 45-55mins, to get his bags together and get to Terminal #2 so I can get him an Uber to the Terminal (no answer, straight to VM). I ended up sending him another text message 2.5hrs after his plane landed, asking him if he made the flight (no answer). Had to go on my United App to see if I had a flight credit on my account, there it was. He never got on the original flight. I sent a nasty gram to him stating that "the adult thing to do was to inform us of any issues....", nothing. Then 2hr additional hours went by and his "brother" texted me (from Manuel's phone) and stipulated that the ticket had a misspelling on his first name (Manuel vs Manual). Which would not have hindered him from getting the ticket agent to change on the spot. After calling United about the situation, they assured me they would have simply changed it prior to boarding, the stated "a mismatch (when a name doesn't match the ID) happens all the time, for this being a single letter - would have never been a reason to cancel the ticket". Apparently didn't want the job, another disappointment trying to hire reliable people for our company. Make you wonder why a Class A driver wants to driver a little box truck but it is what it is.

This Class A driver came to us with high expectations and great attitude. He wanted to drive one of our box trucks w/sleeper (<26,000#). He was here all day filling out all the paperwork and getting truck ready to go. We gave him one of our 2020 trucks for a few weeks to see how he does prior to giving him one of the '26s in the yard. Apparently he thought he rated the brand new truck and on his very first day, no call no show. As everyone knows, there are so many things go into vetting and hiring a driver. It pains me to write this as he had such a good personality and my recruiter talked so highly of him. I hope that he contacts us with a reason for this abrupt turnaround. I would love to update or remove this review, I would love to be wrong here but 11 phone calls from President to Dispatch to Safety and even the recruiter. 7 text messages, 3 emails and 2 IM through Tenstreet all went unanswered.

Driver was a fairly dependable until 12/09/2024 when this driver rolled over his equipment losing the load and both truck and brand new MAC trailer. Total loses were over $100k

We gave this driver many chances to prove himself as a driver. He boasted about being a hard runner, couldn't wake up in the morning. Later we found out that he is a gamer. Plays video games in his truck on his off hours, which is fine. It only becomes an issue when he couldn't get up in the morning to make deliveries. Sleeper time for most drivers average 10-11hrs, Mr. Boyd is 15hrs. When he has to drive early he make mistakes, one such mistake turning into a customer's driveway (left turn), turned so wide that he hooked the guideline on the electrical pole that was in the grass. No property damage to the customer, plenty of damage to his truck. Next incident was him pulling into a facility just to turn around and wasn't paying close enough attention and the trailer struck the gate upon entry (left turn). Company paid for new gate and concert post. He is not reliable or re-hirable.

Low energy, low motivation, communication skills are lacking and once he goes home doesn't answer the phone for weeks. Worked for 3wks, went home stayed there for weeks without answering the phone. Finally got back on the road - went home after another 3wks, same thing. Worked a total of 45 days out of 100 while employed. We had to beg him to bring our equipment back, offered to pay him and tried to barter with us on a deadhead trip from Columbus, MS to Chicago area. At least is wasn't a recovery but will not be entertain this driver in the future.

This driver was with our company twice, the first time he "claimed" to have a pre-existing back condition that needed surgery. He told us this while he was at home in Houston, TX. Truck was at home for over a week, got towed and we had to recover while in the hospital for financial reasons (storage fees). We re-hired him the following month, he worked for another 4mos. He was terminated and is not longer welcome at this company. He was terminated while in Houston, TX and we again had to recover his truck.

This driver abandoned Truck/Trailer in AL (at his home), never called to quit, never returned calls or texts from dispatch. Company had to recover truck/trailer. He worked for the company for nearly three years, is not re-hirable.

This driver has communication (or lack of) issues. He "needs to get back to work ASAP" so we push to get all his pre-employment reports and documentation ready for him than he disappears for 5 weeks. Then we receive another "reapply" notification via Tenstreet for Mr. Brasher. Make contact and copies and pastes the same text messages about needing to get back to work. Trying to get him scheduled for a drug screen is impossible because "my ole lady's car might leave me stranded on the side of the road" excuse. In the middle of these messages it stops for hours (3+), then an apology text returns with "I fell asleep" which was from 11am to 2:30pm. We are in need of drivers but not that desperate! If communicate is this bad during the hiring process, we can't fathom what it will be while attempting to contact while a broker is desperate for answers. He is a hard pass!
