Thomas Wood had worked for my company many years ago for the previous owners and contacted me earlier this month looking for a job. All I heard was how he helped start the company 20 years ago.. and he was begging for a job as his co-driver needed experience and they could not find someone to let him train her. Ok, that was 20 years ago, new ownership now, so I gave him and his fiancee a chace. 1st day in the truck he was already complaining bc I hadnt sent rate confirmation just yet- I was busy and working on 17 other drivers as well. It was sent shortly after that. He knew coming on that we run all over and he called after his 2nd load that was from OH to VA about how he didnt like driving mountains and wanted to run southeast only. I explained again how we run. He was always in the background running his mouth when I was talking to his codriver on the phone. 2800 miles in a week as a team, and 2 loads rescheduled due to being behind at their own fault, 3 cancelled loads that we had to recover the truck due to being late. Deadheaded truck from GA-NC and then got mad that he was charged for fuel cost and cussed me out while on the phone with his codriver stating he was going to have me shut down, cussing me and telling me I was a POS that didnt know what I was doing and he was going to call DOT

First he started as lease to purchase owner operator. He broke down the truck that was purchasing and we gave him a chains to work as a company driver. He was always complaining asking for company to loan him money and so on.After we refuse to give for him what he wanted he just came back in the yard and left the truck without any two weeks notice and also stolen the company tablet!!!! BE AWARE!!!

Driver threatened to damage the truck, abandoned it without notice, and caused significant financial loss. Unprofessional and untrustworthy - not recommended for any position involving company property.

Shane Carabajal is an extremely unreliable driver who constantly makes threats to damage or set fire to the truck. His behavior is aggressive, unprofessional, and dangerous. Keeping him in your fleet poses a serious risk to your equipment, your company’s safety, and your clients. Do not hire or work with this individual under any circumstances.

We employed this driver for nearly three months without incident. At his request, we permitted him to take the truck home in order to spend time with his family. However, without any prior notice, he abandoned the truck in his yard, refused to return the keys, and caused damage to the trailer by striking a gas station pole. His actions demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and responsibility. Based on this experience, we cannot in good faith recommend him for any driving position, due to that your truck might be dropped at any given time. DO NOT and I will repeat myself, DO NOT employ this driver.

ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED! Went through all the hiring process, everything was fine, even waited one month for this driver to come. Once the hiring day came, we booked him a flight, he missed it, but still came and then he told me that someone else picked him up and he started the hiring process with another company. Not reliable and unprofessional - not recommended! AVOID!

Stay away from this driver. He handled only 3 loads and already caused 2 major damages. Our company suffered significant financial losses. Completely irresponsible – not worth the risk.

We went through the entire hiring process with this candidate - interviews, background checks - all completed successfully. He confirmed his availability and start date multiple times. However, on the very day he was scheduled to begin work, he informed us that he had accepted another offer.

This level of unprofessionalism is extremely disappointing. It shows a complete disregard for the time, effort, and resources we invested in bringing him onboard. Backing out at the last minute not only disrupted our operations but also reflects poorly on his reliability and integrity. If you're seeking a dependable driver who honors commitments, we strongly advise looking elsewhere.

This driver completely wasted our time. He agreed to start the hiring process and claimed he was going to complete the drug test multiple times—but kept lying about it. First, he said he was on the way, then delayed again, only to finally say he wasn’t interested anymore because he already had another job.

Not dependable. Not honest. Avoid at all costs if you value reliability and straightforward communication.

This driver is a complete waste of time. He doesn’t respond to messages, doesn’t communicate, and most importantly, doesn’t complete his DT. If you’re depending on someone reliable, this is not the person.

Zero professionalism, zero accountability. Just disappears without explanation. I’ve never dealt with someone so careless and unbothered. Save yourself the frustration and choose someone who actually respects your time and follows through.
