The absolute worst experience we have ever encountered in trucking with regards to drivers. He and wife moved into one of our (6) 2019 Pete 579s with a 2018 reefer. After one month the truck didn’t even break even because of countless excuses of cell phone issues, he and wife always sick with something, late to every appointment and the list goes on. He would ghost our dispatch so without the ELD we would never know where he was. We had to call the cops twice to conduct a welfare check on him that’s how bad it got in just one month. The final straw was 2 days after the first welfare check on May 24th. 2022. This driver was in San Antonio and finally our dispatcher was able to book a load after the truck sat for 3 days because of no communication. Driver departs San Antonio May 26th. to Lerado to collect a Dry Van load and then he returned to San Antonio mid day. What happened next was mind boggling….. Mark spent the entire day driving the truck around San Antonio with an unauthorized crack head prostitute passenger in the back confirmed by cab audio from the ELD. He was driving on secondary streets for hours under a load burning fuel going through small neighborhoods. Essentially joy riding some drug dealer meth head in back with wife in front. All wheels on truck have been heavily curbed. We were completely shocked that this was going on in front of our eyes as we watched our truck do this. Multiple stops at truck stops for several hours God knows what he was doing. Multiple U-turns on streets zig zagging through residential areas for no reason at all! Enough was enough this guy was a danger. We called San Antonio police again and directed several police units in on him as we watched the ELD. Once the police made positive ID on our truck they initiated a traffic stop and ultimately had the driver pulled from the truck. We instructed him to remove all belongings under the supervision of the police. This was a nightmare. If you have any doubts we have it all on video STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!
