Darrell was owner operator for almost 3 months with us and he leased 2023 Volvo with about 50k miles, so we can agree almost new truck and it was in great condition. 2 and half months later he was pulled over on weight station and he got OOS for 2 Flat tires, broken windshield. He didn't return the truck from Monday to Thursday and he was in Chicago area just living in the truck. When he brought truck back to our yard we couldn't believe what we saw, broken windshield, broken both mirrors, steer tires ruined, trailer tires ruined, mattress dirty and cut with knife. And on the end we send him letter to make it clear his contract is terminated and he said you can't fire me when I quit and called cops to make report on us. On top of poor PTI and maintenance he is terrible driver as well. He tool load from UT-PA approximately 2020 miles and he drove that load for 7 full days. We will not rehire this driver again and any prospective employer should be cautious.
